Annual Costs to Residential Homeowners
The proposition would reinstate the 9 mills that the community used to pay to support the hospital. It was discontinued 20+ years ago; St. Mary HSD 2 has not had the funds to make major improvements to the facility. It is time to reinvest in our hospital.
The millage will produce approximately $3.4 million per year for a 10 year period. These funds will come to St. Mary HSD 2 and through a legal agreement they will send the funds to Ochsner Health for the purposes stated in the proposition.
The millage will cost the average homeowner, $45 per year.

Citizens of Wards 5, 6, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, and part of Ward 4 can vote.
